This is not your typical Indian restaurant, focus is on blending Indian flavors with the right amount western zing. We enjoyed our custom made rice bowls and the quantity is decent as well. Naans are the best and a must have. The place was very clean and well maintained, with special focus on maintaining its colorful ambiance.
Good food: butter chicken bowl, build you own bowl with paneer and tikka masala, kulfi, and mango lemonade. Food was modifiable especially when it came to add ons and hot sauces. Would order it all again easily Jomar served us and was super helpful. His service went above and beyond, being thoughtful and attentive from entry to exit.
I’ve been coming to Choolaah for the past two years, and it never disappoints. The food is always fresh, flavorful, and consistently delicious. My absolute favorite is the chicken spicy bowl with mango sauce—the perfect mix of heat and sweetness! Charo is amazing—always so friendly and provides super great customer service every time I come in. Ahmad is also fantastic and makes the experience even better. The whole team is welcoming, the service is quick, and the atmosphere keeps me coming back. Highly recommend! 😊
First time I ate at Choolah and it was really good. The manager took my order and went over the menu options. The restaurant is clean and bright, very new. I had the pro bowl with chicken. They have a roasted vegetable base which you don’t find often at similar restaurants which only have grain options. I want to come back and try the salmon. The manager was really kind and attentive to the customers. A lot of food for a good value. Also they give you a good protein serving. I’ve seen similar restaurant who tend to fill the bowls mainly with rice. Great lunch! Thanks!
I like the lamb meatballs, really good. Was just here last week and came again the second time. I dont particularly like authentic Indian food too much besides Vindaloo spicy curry(which they do not offer) but if you're like me order the yellow Dal with your plate and not the chickpea or tikka curries you can get away from that "authentic" taste and have a great savory meal. So dont be afraid to give it a try. Bonus points for the hot sauce stand, sauces are awesome!
Dining experience was amazing! It's basically Indian Chipotle (remember how good Chipotle used to be before they all got crappy😫). The drinks and desserts were delicious, flavorful and not just sugary. Spicy menu options and sauces were *actually* spicy. Tally was very helpful, sweet, and so patient with the toddler we had with us. Perfect lunch spot!
We ordered catering for an event we hosted and the food and experience working with the team at Choolaah Westlake was great! The website was easy to use, and the staff were incredibly welcoming and gracious in helping me get the large order to my car. Special shoutout to Ahmed who made sure our order was ready on time. The service was awesome! We came on 1/20 around 11am. The place smelled amazing. Spotlessly clean. The decor was fun. The food was absolutely phenomenal. We will definitely be returning again and again.
